4. Configure networking

Equipment controlled or monitored by the GridVolt gateway must have a fixed IP address. This ensures that the gateway can continue to find each device after a restart or network change.

Obtain the approved network settings for each device, including its IP address, subnet mask, and gateway where required. Confirm that each address is available and belongs to the correct network before applying it.

Configure a static IP address on the equipment itself or create a DHCP reservation on the site router. Record the assigned address for GridVolt commissioning.

Do not change the site’s network range or assign an address that is already in use. Ask the customer’s network administrator for assistance if the network settings are unknown.

Each network-connected asset has a fixed, unique IP address and can be reached by the GridVolt gateway.

Confirm that each device responds at its assigned address. Provide the final IP address list to GridVolt during remote commissioning.
