2. Prepare the site
Physical preparation
Section titled “Physical preparation”Choose locations that satisfy the controller and equipment manufacturers’ environmental, clearance, power, and enclosure requirements. Plan cable routes so that power and data cabling remain appropriately separated and protected.
Digital preparation
Section titled “Digital preparation”Before installation, confirm:
- The GridVolt site record exists and has the correct address and timezone.
- The site’s connection type matches the approved design.
- Devices can be assigned using their stable identifiers, not temporary labels.
- The installer and commissioning engineer have the access they need.
Expected result
Section titled “Expected result”The physical installation points and cable routes are ready, and the GridVolt site record can receive the devices that will be installed.
Verify
Section titled “Verify”Compare the prepared site record with the approved survey. Resolve differences before mounting or configuring equipment.
